Gog Farm Haddenham, England

  • Memory by Jane Haworth (js.haworth@yahoo.co.uk) on December 3, 2023

An updating of this record has been lost. My parents and my family lived in this cottage in the 1960s. When they moved in there was a right hand easterly ground floor extension which formed the kitchen and a lobby leading to the back door. My parents added another storey above this one to form a fourth bedroom and an upstairs bathroom. The step in the roof between this storey and the rest if the cottage was formed because of a Building Regulation that all rooms should have a nine foot clearance.

The bedroom to the west of the cottage had a visible cruck in the top half of the inglenook in the sitting room below.
