In Islamic doctrine, the universe is the result of the direct work of Allah. Because Islam teaches that the Bible is corrupt, it adopts some of Genesis’ teachings on the creation of the universe and humanity, but not all of it. The Quran’s teaching on creation is not as thorough as the Bible’s, but nevertheless explicitly states that the universe was created.
